MAS ROCA – Country house in a unique setting in the Pla de l’Estany

You get to the country house along a quiet unpaved road which takes you to the parking area situated on the upper level of the house. Views of the patio/porch which is in front of the house. The entrance to the house is through a wooden door on the same level as the car park and leads to a large main hallway/reception room. Bicycles can be kept here and there is an area with board games and wooden construction blocks for children.

Inside, the house has two floors: the first floor and the loft.

FIRST FLOOR

At the entrance of the house is a hall with furniture and tourist information about the area.

In the living area, there is a large modern kitchen with a wooden table and chairs where you can eat, and all the utensils and appliances necessary for your stay. The dining room has a ceiling with wooden beams and a warm decoration, with a long wooden table and chairs, ideal for celebrations. Large lounge with fireplace and firewood, sofas, and a large flat screen TV. Shared bathroom. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, detergent, First Aid kit and cleaning products.

In the sleeping area, there are four bedrooms. All of them are double rooms with double beds, except for one which has two single beds. Two of the bedrooms have a private bathroom with shower and there is a third shared bathroom with a bath in this area for the other rooms.

UPPER FLOOR/LOFT

This is a second sleeping area which you reach by going up some stairs. There are two bedrooms separated by a wall, each one of them a separate bedroom. One bedroom has a double bed and three single beds and the other one has a double bed and two single beds. Shared full bathroom.

OUTSIDE

Fantastic outdoor area with different zones and spaces:

– Barbecue area with long table and benches. Firewood to start the fire and charcoal. Equipment and utensils for making a paella and grill for calçots, both with prior reservation. Ping-pong table.
– Pool area in the lower part of the grounds. There is a salt water pool, 9 x 4 m, totally fenced in, surrounded by a garden with grass, sun loungers and outdoor shower.

– Chill-out area with porch, situated near the pool. Outdoor furniture – sofas, cushions and table, lit up at night. Ideal for enjoying the cool evenings in summer.

– Sports area with a small unpaved court with football goalposts and a basketball hoop.

– Children’s play area with sand pit, trampoline, swings and slide.

Close to the property are several paths where you can observe and discover the charms of the nearby countryside. You can walk or cycle, wander down by the river or go for an excursion to the village.

There is wifi throughout the house, heating, air-conditioning in the lounge and the upper part of the house and magnificent views of the garden and fields.

Spacious kitchen with all the necessary utensils and appliances: oven, vitroceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, Italian coffee maker, toaster, juicer, blender, salt and pepper and spices, “jamonera” (support to hold a leg of Iberian ham), kitchen paper and serviettes, cleaning equipment, HDMI flat screen TV.

Dining room: long wooden table and chairs and furniture.

Spacious lounge with fireplace and firewood, HDMI flat screen TV, DVD player, small stereo system, board games, bookcase with books, stories and magazines.

Blue room. First floor. Double bed, bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobe and private bathroom with shower.

Purple room. First floor. Double bed, bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobe.

Green room. First floor. 2 single beds, bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobe.

Burgundy room. First floor. Double bed, bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobe and private bathroom with shower.

Bedroom with one double bed and three single beds, bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobes.

Bedroom with one double bed and two single beds, bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobes.

Mas Roca is situated just outside Esponellà, a fantastic place to relax in the quiet wooded countryside, away from the big cities and towns. A strategic point which makes it easy to reach inland towns and villages as well as the beautiful Costa Brava. The main attractions nearby are: Banyoles Lake just 15 minutes by car, the Old Town of Girona 35 minutes by car or the main beaches and coves of the Costa Brava 30 minutes away.

With its magnificent setting and landscape, it is ideal for going on excursions, walking or cycling. Apart from the different activities you can do in the grounds of the house itself, there are many more options in the nearby area making it the perfect place for visiting cultural sites, markets and beaches and enjoying outdoor activities, local food and restaurants and other leisure activities.
