CAN CAMÓS – Country house close to the Costa Brava

The house is in the hamlet of Penedès, between Llagostera and Romanyà. A very quiet area with little traffic, very few neighbours and lovely views. You get to the house along a country road, and just after Casa Llambí, another country house, you turn left up an unpaved road which takes you to Can Camós.

The different buildings of Can Camós stand on either side of the unpaved road which continues on to two more houses. The whole area is very safe. On the right hand side of the road is the outdoor parking area, a chicken pen with hens and a small vegetable garden with vines. There is also a separate multi-purpose building with sofas and chairs, ideal for when it gets dark, especially in the winter months.

The main part of the house is on the left hand side of the road and this is where you find the garden and the entrance to the house itself. The rooms are arranged over two floors.

GROUND FLOOR

Entrance to the house through a restored solid wood door. The dining room is decorated with lots of antique elements which give it character and authenticity, with a long wooden table and chairs and a bookshelf where board games are kept. The other rooms lead off from here. A double bedroom with double bed, clothes rack with hangers, desk, bedside tables and views of the garden. Full bathroom with bath, toilet, sink and washing machine. Kitchen with fireplace and long table and chairs and a bench, which also retains original features such as the decorative coal stove and the stone sink.

FIRST FLOOR

You get to the first floor by going up a stone staircase. This floor is divided into two areas, one on the left-hand side and the other on the right, separated by a small step. On the left hand side there is a spacious lounge-reception room with wooden beams, sofas, TV and views of the patio and the garden. As this space is open, it has a safety gate for children. A bedroom for three with one double bed and one single bed with bedside tables and wardrobes. On the right hand side is a third bedroom for four people with one double bed and two single beds, bedside tables, wardrobes and views of the part behind the house.

OUTSIDE

Large outdoor space with areas for different activities: a tiled patio just in front of the house with table and chairs, a grassy area with a pool, pergola and hammock for enjoying the cool evenings and relaxing, an outdoor well with its original structure, a covered porch area with a built-in barbecue and place to cook with stove, sink, fridge, with long wooden table and benches. Another outdoor area with a wooden table and benches and garden lights. Ideal for enjoying warm Mediterranean evenings and lovely views.

Games – billiards, table tennis, table football, darts.

Kitchen equipped with oven, stove, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso DeLonghi coffee capsule machine, Mokka coffee pot, toaster, fireplace (with firewood in the winter), Aquaservice water dispenser, bench, wooden table and chairs, juicer, kettle, sandwich maker, mixer.

Dining room: long table and chairs.

Lounge: sofas, armchairs, TV and views.

3 rustic-style bedrooms:  1 double bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables, reading lamps, hangers.  1 bedroom for three with a double bed and a single bed, bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobe.  1 bedroom for four with a double bed and two single beds, bedside tables, wardrobe.  All the bedrooms have bed linen.

1 Bathroom: bath, toilet, sink, toilet paper, towels.

Comfort: washing machine, iron, clothes line, wifi, parking outside within the grounds. Games – billiards, table tennis, table football, darts.

Outside: patio, garden, pool, barbecue area, pergola with hammock, outdoor picnic area and table and benches under porch, views of the Montseny mountains.

Can Camós is located in the small hamlet of Penedès, in the Baix Empordà region. Ideal location to enjoy both the mountains and nature, as it lies at the foot of the Gavarres mountains with lots of walking and cycling routes, as well as different activities along the coast. Very close to the best Costa Brava beaches, just 15 km away. It is also well communicated with the city of Girona, just 20km from the centre.

A perfect location for visiting cultural sites, markets, beaches, restaurants, and enjoying leisure activities, among other things. A holiday home where you can have a wonderful break all year round!
