MAS CASALLIQUES – Country house in the Rupit i Pruit area

You reach the house along a very quiet road which ends at the property. There is an area outside to leave 4 cars, outside parking. Entrance to the holiday home is through a small wooden gate leading into the garden which is enclosed by a stone wall.

Large, flat garden with grass, trees and sun loungers, ideal for keeping cool in summer. Small covered area with barbecue*. There is also a dining table, chairs and a small inflatable pool for children to cool down during the hot weather. Guests have magnificent views of the surrounding area from the garden.

*Guests have to bring their own charcoal for the barbecue.

INSIDE
The house has wifi and several iron radiators distributed around the rooms keeping it nice and warm in winter. In the summer, the house also has some portable fans but since the walls are made of stone, it doesn’t get very hot and there is no need for air-conditioning. All the ceilings have wooden beams and are perfectly restored.

The area inside the house is arranged over three floors.

GROUND FLOOR
You go into the house through the main door which you get to from the garden. Entrance hall with stairs leading up to the first floor. On this floor there is a small room where you can leave 2-3 bicycles, washing machine, tumble dryer and a guest bathroom.

FIRST FLOOR
You go up some stairs to the first floor and this is the central part of the house with a kitchen, a lounge-dining room, three double bedrooms and a shared bathroom. The lounge-dining room takes up a large part of this floor and has a small balcony with lots of natural light and three spaces: a reading area with an L-shaped wooden bench looking towards the balcony, a central area with a long wooden table and chairs and a TV area with decorative fireplace and large sofa. Rustic-style kitchen with all the necessary utensils and appliances for cooking and a small wooden table in the middle. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and have a double bed, bedside tables, wardrobes and views outside. Shared full bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. All the rooms have their own radiator.

SECOND FLOOR
Going up some stairs, you come to the second floor which is the loft area with two open-plan spaces and two bedrooms with a large shared bathroom with showers. One of the bedrooms is an en-suite with a large double bed (1.80x2m), sofa-bed, futon and wardrobes. You can also put a cot or extra bed there. The other bedroom is spacious and has a double bed, sofa-bed, chest of drawers and views outside. The vintage-style bathroom is shared but is very big with two showers, toilet, two sinks and views. On this floor there are 4 large radiators, one of them in the bathroom, which keeps the area warm in winter and makes this a very comfortable space.

OUTSIDE
Garden with trees, surrounded by a stone wall, with few neighbours nearby so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. Covered barbecue area ideal for spending time outside with the family or with friends. Dining table and chairs and sun loungers. Badminton rackets.

Surrounded by fields and meadows, this is an exceptional place to enjoy a unique setting. You can take several paths which leave from the house to explore different places and secret spots in the region. One of them takes you to the village of Rupit i Pruit, a pleasant 45-minute walk, where you can discover one of Catalonia’s most charming villages.

Bedroom 3: First floor. Large double bed with possibility of putting a cot or extra bed in the room, bedside tables, desk, wardrobe, night lights and views outside.

Bedroom 4: Second floor. 1 double bed, sofa-bed, armchairs, mirror, bookshelves, bedside lamps, chest of drawers and views.

Bedroom 5: Second floor. En-suite, with double bed (1.80x2m), with the possibility of putting a cot in the room, sofa-bed, futon, wardrobes, bedside tables and views.

Bathroom 1: bath, shower, toilet, bidet, sink, toilet paper, towels, hairdryer and views.

Bathroom 2: 2 showers, 2 sinks, toilet, toilet paper, towels, hairdryer and views.

Comfort: washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, wifi throughout the house, heating, portable fans, windows renovated with glass which maintains the temperature, outdoor area with sun loungers and bench, parking, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors inside.

Entertainment: board games, books and magazines, badminton rackets, barbecue.

The house is located 4 kms from Rupit i Pruit in Osona, in the Province of Barcelona. Very close to the Garrotxa and La Selva regions, with the Collsacabra mountains rising up between them, a spectacular natural area of incredible beauty. This is a very strategic point for going on excursions of all kinds and doing hikes. You can make your way to the Salt de Sallent waterfall, visit the Roca Foradada, walk through the beech woods of La Fageda d’en Jordà, wander along the Ruta del Bandoler (Bandit’s Route), go on guided nature walks and enjoy the culture, food and other activities in the surrounding area.

The magnificent surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, hiking or cycling. Apart from the many activities you can do around the country house, the area is ideal for visiting the medieval gem of Rupit i Pruit and wandering down its cobbled streets lined by 16th-17th century houses, crossing the famous wooden suspension bridge or visiting the Baroque church of Sant Miquel.
